It may be surprising that you haven’t heard of them until now, even if they have been around for a long time.
1. Biewer Terrier

The Biewer Terrier is a miniature companion that adores and is adored in return. Dr. Klein believes the Biewer has a certain charm – being both lovable and a bit mischievous. This rare canine is becoming increasingly popular, states Dr. Klein.
The AKC has stated that the Biewer is the first breed to be identified as purebred through scientific methods, rather than the traditional way of pedigree documentation, and this is the reason why they are yet to be entirely recognised by the AKC. According to the American Kennel Club, the Biewer is “the first breed to be officially classified as purebred based on scientific advances, instead of relying on the conventional means of pedigree documentation.”
